ComfyBed is so easy to use and maintain!
To maximise the benefits of ComfyBed horse bedding we would recommend you bank the edges of your stable to improve the structure and aid in the mucking out process. You will need between 8-12 bales to create your initial ComfyBed for a 12x12 stable.
To ensure a hygienic bed, droppings should be removed daily using gloves or a shavings fork.
Tip: By tossing soiled bedding up the banks it will separate droppings from the bedding and allow the removal of as little bedding as possible. Using a shovel, remove wet patches and move the dryer top layer to the banks of the bed. More ComfyBed should be added when necessary to maintain a depth of roughly 6 inches- this is usually once a week but in many cases your ComfyBed can last much longer.
The nature of the wood fibres means that it is so easy to muck out your new ComfyBed! This saves you time, reduces wastage and you have a smaller muck heap which breaks down to form an excellent biodegradable mulch.
Weekly maintenance will require 1 or 2 bales.
